The Crittenden Volunteer Fire Department does fire suppression, rescue and other assistance calls in the northern part of Grant County as well as the city limits of Crittenden. Crittenden also gives mutual aid to all other departments in the county when requested. In addition, mutual aid is provided to departments outside the county which include southern Boone, Kenton and western Pendleton counties. Crittenden also provides first responders on medical calls for American Medical Response Ambulance and the Dry Ridge Fire Department. There are 29 volunteer members on the Crittenden Fire Department.
